How to Remove FRP on Tecno, Infinix, and Itel Using UMT Dongle (MTK Guide)
Many Tecno, Infinix, and Itel phones get stuck on Google account verification after a factory reset. This is called FRP lock. When this happens, the phone cannot be used normally.
In this guide, I will explain a simple and working method using UMT Dongle. This method works on MediaTek phones. It also works on Android 11 and Android 12.
Why This Method Works
This method does not depend on phone model. It uses Meta Mode to enable ADB. After that, FRP can be removed easily.
You do not need browser tricks or old bugs. This is a clean and professional way.
Things You Need Before Start
- UMT Dongle connected to PC
- UMT UltimateMTK software installed
- MediaTek VCOM drivers installed
- Good quality USB cable
- Phone battery at least 30%
Step-by-Step FRP Removal Guide
Phase 1: Enable ADB Using Meta Mode
First, we need to enable ADB on the phone. This is done using Meta Mode.
- Open UMT UltimateMTK tool on your PC.
- Click on the Service tab.
- Find the option called Meta Function.
- Select Enable ADB Infinix. (This option also works for Tecno and Itel.)
- Power off the phone completely.
- Click Execute in the tool.
- Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down.
- While holding the buttons, connect the USB cable.
The phone will enter Meta Mode. You may see small text saying “Meta Mode” on screen.
The tool will show Enable ADB Done. After this, the phone will reboot automatically.
Phase 2: Remove FRP Using ADB Method
After reboot, ADB is now enabled. We can remove FRP easily.
- Keep the phone ON and connected to PC.
- If USB debugging permission appears, tap Allow.
- In UMT tool, find Tecno Infinix Itel ADB Method.
- Select Reset FRP ADB.
- Click Execute.
The tool will start working. After few seconds, you will see Reset FRP Done.
Final Result
In most cases, the phone will go directly to the Home Screen. No Google account will be asked.
Setup wizard is skipped automatically. This saves a lot of time.
